COLUMBIA, Mo. - Intrigued by the quickly rising popularity of blogs, local journalism graduate KT Kate decided to jump on the band wagon and start her own web log, or blog as they are commonly known.
Kate says this will be a test of her discipline because while she loves to write in journals, real and online, she has trouble regularly updating her entries.
"I've been known to go months without writing, and then I'll get this burst of creativity," she laughs. "I'm hoping to stick with a site that will help me to be more consistent with my updates."
Kate graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May with a bachelor's degree in magazine journalism. She's currently looking for a magazine internship, and expects to devote many entries to the frustrating nature of job searching.
Kate also describes herself as a "music fanatic, shopping fiend and all around fun girl." She spends money with abandon, loves to meet new people and feels her best when she's "tearin' it up on the dance floor with a drink in my hand and my friends nearby."
